12 Angry Devs

a live demo night for technical builders. 12 people walk into a room. 3 get picked to demo what they’re building. It can be a company, a side project, an internal tool, an open-source project, or anything real. After each demo, the other 11 people get to challenge it. No polite panel questions. No vague feedback. Each question has to be framed as a real objection: “Here’s why I think this won’t work…” The person demoing then has to defend their product, idea, technical choices, market, UX, roadmap, or whatever else gets attacked. After each defense, the room votes. If the room buys the defense, the demo continues. If the room votes against it, the builder takes a shot. And yes, we take the shot thing very seriously. If you don’t drink, bring someone from your team who can take it for you. The goal is simple: make demos actually useful. Most tech events are passive. People sit, nod, network awkwardly, and leave.
