Why use Wyrl at your next event?

You showed up to meet people—not to wander hoping for a lucky introduction. Wyrl shows who is nearby, helps you message people from the same event after you leave, and lets you connect through your profile.

Three ways to connect

In the room

At a live event, Wyrl shows who is physically nearby so you can message before you walk over.

The guest list

Message people who were at the same event as you after it ends, even when you are apart. RSVP beforehand when the event offers it.

Anywhere

Share your Wyrl profile on social or in person. Others scan your QR code to add you to their business cards and start messaging.

The event guest list

The guest list lets you message other people who were at the same event as you—even after the event ends, even when you are no longer in the same place. On events that offer RSVP, you can message them beforehand too.

See who is nearby

At the venue, Wyrl shows who is physically in the same place.

Message before you walk over

Break the ice in the app, then meet in person when it feels right.

Message after the event

The guest list keeps you connected to people from the same event when you are no longer in the same place.

Share your profile anywhere

Profile QR connections last long after the event ends.

What it looks like in practice

Between conference sessions

You have twenty minutes before the next talk. Wyrl shows who else is nearby so you can message now—not hunt for them in the hallway later.

Before you fly in

You RSVP to a conference and message two people you want to meet—days before badge pickup.

After the event

You flew home Tuesday. Wednesday you message someone from the guest list to continue a conversation you started on the floor.

Nearby attendees view in the Wyrl app

At the venue, message people nearby in the app. After the event, use the guest list to keep talking to people from the same event—even from a different city.

“I met two valuable people through the app who I otherwise may not have met.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Wyrl?
Wyrl is an app for meeting people at live events. See who is nearby at the venue, message in the app, and use the guest list to stay in touch with people from the same event after it ends.
What is the event guest list?
The guest list lets you message other people who were at the same event as you—even after the event ends, even when you are no longer in the same place. On events that offer RSVP, you can message them beforehand too.
What is Join the Crowd?
Join the Crowd adds you to an event's guest list when the event is live. You can message other people from that event once it has started. If the event offers RSVP, you can join the guest list earlier and message before it starts.
What is the difference between the guest list and nearby?
Nearby shows who is physically close to you when you are at a venue. The guest list is for messaging people who were at the same event as you, including after the event ends when you are no longer in the same place.
Do I have to always be visible to others when I use the app?
No. You can switch to invisible mode at any time and still message people and browse events. When you are invisible, you will not appear in other users' Nearby searches. The app automatically switches you to invisible if you have been inactive for an extended period.
Can other people see exactly where I am?
No. Other people cannot see your exact location. When you show up in Wyrl, you appear in a list of people at an event, not on a map. We built the app that way on purpose. If you stop using the app for an extended period, Wyrl also removes you from Nearby automatically so you do not stay visible without meaning to.
What happens when someone scans my Wyrl QR code?
They add you to their business cards in the app. Your personal contact details are not shared automatically. You control what you exchange, and either of you can start messaging from there.
How is Wyrl different from other event apps?
Many event apps focus on schedules and logistics. Wyrl focuses on people: who is nearby, messaging through the guest list after the event, and contact exchange on your terms.
Does Wyrl work if I prefer not to work the room?
Yes. You can send a short message first and meet in person when you are ready, without cold approaches across a crowded hall.
Is Wyrl free?
Yes. Wyrl is free for attendees on iOS and Android. Download the app and start using it at your next event.
