Art & Tech at SFMOMA

Art and technology have long been entangled — each one challenging, shaping, and reinventing the other. This session brings together artists and technologists to explore visions for a future where this complex relationship becomes mutually beneficial, alongside the challenges we face in achieving it. About the Event: The Future of Us is marking the US's 250th anniversary by coming together to celebrate community visions, creative expression, and civic voice. Art& is a three-day series at SFMOMA exploring the essential role of art and imagination in shaping our collective futures. Across July 9–11, each day pairs a Future of Us theme with a single, layered question — what happens when art meets science, technology, nature, and civic life? Expect multimedia shows that blend live performance, community visions, receptions for connection, and big-idea conversations, alongside fellow-led experiences and a pop-up from the Institute for the Future.
