Oregon is developing firm power in the form of wave energy at massive scale, along with building one of the hottest Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) in the world. The timing could not be more consequential. Data centers are flooding the PNW for cheap Bonneville hydro, but that resource is finite and constrained.
