Future-proofing Seattle's tree canopy to help City residents adapt to a changing climate

About This Event

Please join us for an interactive walk-and-talk on: 1) the critical importance of Seattle's tree canopy for reducing urban heat, filtering stormwater, and improving livability; 2) future-proofing the city’s canopy for a hotter, drier, and more extreme climate; and 3) ways that you can contribute and make a difference! This is a mostly level one-mile loop walk on trail, grass, and pavement. Walk time is between 60-90 minutes depending on group size and discussion time. Walk is mostly in Green Lake Park, with a brief loop through a nearby neighborhood. Walk will start and end at the Green Lake Boathouse.
