Key Signing Party: Proof of Human

You've probably heard stories about famous activists sending each other encrypted communication. Pretty cool, right? But how do they know the encrypted message is authentic and not a forgery?! Well, if they trust the public key, then they can be confident that the message, encrypted with the associated private key, is the real deal! But now we have a chicken and egg problem by which we need to bootstrap our public key store. This summer, join us at Presidio Bitcoin for a key signing party where we'll be building our own web of trust. To do this, we'll meet face to face and cryptographically sign one another's keys. As the world inches more and more towards AI-generated everything, being able to prove your identity will be crucial! Come for the cryptography, but stay for the food, fun, and good company.
