Tall Tree Tour in Arboretum

Enjoy a beautiful summer evening in the Arboretum AND expand your mind and tree knowledge. Join PropagationNation to learn about the power of coast redwoods and giant sequoias. You'll hear why and how PropagationNation is increasing the presence of redwoods and sequoias in the PNW — over 100,000 trees planted since 2016 — in order to help keep our region evergreen and increase our environmental and economic resilience in the face of climate change. “Nature’s Cathedral," where we will gather, consists of seventeen over 100-ft coast redwoods planted 50 years ago and a grove of eight giant sequoias, the tallest of which is over 170 feet and planted 70 years ago. Standing amidst these giant trees while learning about their power to help the planet and build community is a great way to spend an hour! The timing of 7-8 p.m. gives you the possibility of coming after dinner or perhaps having a picnic in the Arboretum before or after the talk. All ages are welcome!
