The Pioneer of Ports: A Fireside Chat with John Meredith

The Pioneer of Ports: A Fireside Chat with John Meredith

About This Event

You're invited to attend a fireside chat with the architect of the modern port system Captain John E. Meredith, CBE, built Hutchison Port Holdings from a single terminal in Hong Kong into the world's leading port developer, operator, and investor, with operations in 23 countries. Under his leadership, Hutchison drove the global expansion of containerization, the system that moves the goods behind nearly every modern supply chain. Known for a decisive, people-first leadership style, Meredith joins DIBI Founding Director Professor Stephen E. Flynn for a conversation on his career, the lessons of building global port infrastructure, and what it takes to keep supply chains resilient in the modern global economy. Light refreshments and snacks to follow talk. This hybrid event is free and open to the public. Please select in-person or virtual in the sign-up process.
