Village Building Convergence 26

Village Building Convergence 26

About This Event

VBC26 Love Letter to Portland Arts At 11am we will gather outside the Portland Art Museum to officially begin the 26th Village Building Convergence. Our opening ceremony will be a traditional Japanese Bon Dance. Our hands on placemaking project will be a street painting project to transform a section of the urban street grid on Southwest Madison Street in front of the Portland Art Museum’s (PAM) Mark Rothko Pavilion into a new pedestrian plaza filled with art. Once complete, the new Cultural District Plaza will serve as an extension of the Museum, greeting visitors with the same spirit of welcome and artistic inspiration found within PAM’s galleries.
