The Log Is the Agent: Yohei Nakajima on Building AI That Persists

As AI agents move from demos to long-running systems, we need better ways to make them durable, respectable, and improvable. In this talk, Yohei Nakajima will introduce ActiveGraph, an open-source approach to building agents around persistent behavior logs, state, and relationships rather than ephemeral chat loops. He’ll share the thinking behind “the log is the agent,” how ActiveGraph grew out of his earlier BabyAGI work, and why graph-based memory, lineage, and observable execution may become core primitives for the next generation of AI applications. Yohei Nakajima is an innovator, artist, and venture capitalist. He is general partner at Untapped Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm known for its build-in-public approach to investing and company building.
